Retinal disease does not recognize geography — but access to expert care often does. Too many patients around the world face preventable vision loss simply because the right expertise, training, or resources are out of reach.
The ASRS Foundation is changing that.
Our Commitment
Advancing Global Retina Care is a humanitarian initiative dedicated to extending the reach of world-class retina expertise to underserved regions and communities worldwide. By uniting the knowledge of ASRS members with the resources of committed partners, we are working to ensure that geography is no longer a barrier to sight-saving care.
How We Are Making an Impact
The ASRS Foundation supports humanitarian efforts to:
• Expand access to high-quality retina care in underserved regions
• Provide education and training that builds lasting local capacity
• Foster collaboration between retina specialists and global health communities
• Fund research that addresses the unique burden of retinal disease worldwide
