ASRS Policy for Selecting External Website Links

ASRS desires to align itself with nonprofit organizations, government agencies and corporations that are interested in supporting our mission. As such, ASRS includes select external links on its websites and uses the following criteria to evaluate websites for linking.

To be eligible for a link from an ASRS website, your website should:

  • Relate to the mission of ASRS;
  • Complement and enhance the information on our website;
  • Provide credible, accurate, current, science-based information;
  • Be primarily focused on information or educational content, rather than the promotion of a product or service
  • Include a link to an ASRS website as outlined below.

ASRS reserves the right to change these criteria at any time. Websites requesting a link should send an email containing the link and any relevant information to info@asrs.org for ASRS consideration.

How to Request Permission to Link to ASRS Websites and/or Use ASRS Logo on External Websites

We encourage links to ASRS websites and require the following to place such a link on your website:

  • Please send a request stating your intent to post a link to the ASRS.org homepage, internal pages or content on other ASRS websites, along with any pertinent information to info@asrs.org for the Society’s review and consideration;
  • If granted, use only text links including the words The American Society of Retina Specialists, the ASRS logo cannot be used as a link without express written consent;
  • Refrain from any placement of a hyperlink that implies endorsement or approval of your organization or any of the content on your website.

Links posted by third parties to the ASRS websites and/or ASRS content shall not suggest that the ASRS promotes or otherwise endorses any third-party products, business relationships, services, causes, campaigns, websites, content, or information. Any links to any portion of the ASRS websites shall be the responsibility of the linking party. ASRS reserves the right to require any linking party to disable or remove any link that violates the ASRS’s rights or causes interruption or deterioration of ASRS content.
