WinR ARVO Research Conference
4/14/2021 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Our very popular annual ASRS Women in Retina Section (WinR) event at ARVO is going virtual this year! The event will feature WinR members presenting their ARVO research papers and posters, provide an opportunity to be mentored and mentor on research and presentation, and a forum to network.
Speakers will have 5 minutes to present their best work in order to compete for the Mina Chung WinR Research Award -- a $2000 grant to attend the ASRS 2021 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
Abstracts for presentation should be 250 words or less and include title, purpose, methods, results, conclusion, co-authors (if applicable), figures or tables. A panel of experts will pick the top abstract submissions to be presented at this event and compete for the prize. The panel will discuss the papers and give advice on the research projects and presentations as part of WinR mentoring.
Abstract submission is open to WinR members who have been in practice for 3 years or less and those still in training. If you are interested in presenting your research, please send your abstract to Sam Zerang no later than April 5.
If you are not planning on presenting, you are still welcome to join us for the event, which is complimentary and open to all WinR members. Please RSVP by April 9 to Sam Zerang.
Registration for this event is limited to members.
