Retina Associates, P.A. is actively recruiting a 5th VR surgeon. The new physician will be joining a very busy practice and will have an established patient load with a high surgical volume very quickly, as our most senior partner has decided to retire very soon. We offer a very competitive salary and bonus structure with an extremely generous amount of vacation time starting at 6 weeks annually, and increases thereafter. Becoming partner is the norm that you can expect, and we have a very well-defined track to partnership that previous employee physicians have found very satisfactory as it requires no "buy-in" to become a partner in the practice.

Our main office is located in Little Rock at the Baptist Eye Center on the campus of the Baptist Medical Center. We have five satellite clinics around the state. They are all very busy and are located approximately 1 hour travel time from our main office. Each physician averages traveling approximately once per week.

The incoming physician would currently enjoy a 1:9 weekend call ratio and a 1:5 weekday call ratio. The local community is well served with all other ophthalmic subspecialties. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences offers services for electrophysiology and specialized genetic testing with an ocular genetics lab.

The clinic is supported by a wide network of referral sources from ophthalmologists, optometrists and medical specialists throughout the state. We utilize EMR with full-time scribes in all of our clinics. We also have state of the art equipment including OCT angiography and ultra-wide field digital angiography in addition to traditional OCT and FA capabilities.

Surgeries are performed in operating suites conveniently located on the first floor of our main office at the Baptist Eye Center. The surgical suites are designated as retina only rooms and are equipped with state of the art Zeiss ceiling mounted operating microscopes, Alcon vitrectomy units and BIOM wide angle viewing systems. The dedicated ophthalmology operating room staff is fully trained to assist with all retina cases. We have daily blocked operating room times and excellent access to operating rooms for emergency cases.

As it's name implies , the Natural State has numerous opportunities for outdoor activities with world-class fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking and hiking located easily within 1-2 hours of our city limits. There are 52 state parks including Hot Springs National Park with beautiful lakes, horse racing, and thermal waters and spas, less than an hour drive from Little Rock. The award winning Arkansas River Trail is a paved bicycle, running, and walking trail that expands more than 17 miles through the city from the Clinton Presidential Libary downtown to west Little Rock.
