Biography

Solly Elmann graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York's esteemed B.A.-M.D. Program, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate, where he was elected chief resident, and was awarded the E.C. Lazzaro Excellence in Teaching award. He completed his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Bert M. Glaser National Retina Institute.

Dr. Elmann has authored numerous publications including articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and has presented his research both nationally and internationally. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, LIGHT International Retinal Laser Society, and the American Society of Retinal Surgeons.
