ASRS Retina Image Bank Reaches 3 Millions Views!
American Society of Retina Specialists is pleased to announce that the Retina Image Bank has reached 3 million unique page views!
Launched in August 2012, this vibrant open-access library has grown to include nearly 30,000 images that capture a range of all things retina. The platform serves as a centralized resource for retina specialists, other physicians, researchers, and patients, providing invaluable insights and education.
The ASRS is deeply grateful to Suber S. Huang, MD, MBA, FASRS, for his leadership in developing the Image Bank with inaugural support from Allergan Pharmaceuticals, and to our 800 Retina Image Bank contributors worldwide, without whom this milestone would not have been possible, including top contributors such as David Callanan, Howard Schatz, the collections of Thomas M. Aaberg, Sr., & Thomas M. Aaberg, Jr., H. Michael Lambert, Maurice F. Rabb, and Mallika Goyal.
The Image Bank continues to grow and ASRS invites continued enthusiastic participation in building this dynamic repository through submissions of images, case series, and diagrams. Guidelines for uploading images can be found here.
New images are uploaded weekly. Image of the week selections, along with their contributors, are showcased on the ASRS and Retina Image Bank websites, in ASRS newsletters and on our social media channels. The Image of the Year is presented each year at the ASRS Annual Meeting.
