ASRS President Mark S. Humayun , MD, PhD, Named National Academy of Inventors Fellow

The 2016 National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellows Selection Committee has elected ASRS President Mark S. Humayun, MD, PhD, as a NAI Fellow.

Election to NAI Fellow status is the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and welfare of society. Dr. Humayun is being recognized for his important work in bridging medical science and engineering to develop treatments for patients with blinding diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa.   

Dr. Humayun will be inducted at a ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in April. Read complete NAI press release
