Ogul E. Uner, MDDr. Ogul Uner grew up in Ankara, Turkey and graduated from University of Pennsylvania, Summa Cum Laude, with distinction in neurobiology. He attended medical school at Emory University School of Medicine, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class, Summa Cum Laude, and represented the medical school on Emory Graduate Student Government. Ogul completed his ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health & Science University, where he served as Chief Resident and was the recipient of several research and departmental service awards. He stayed at Casey Eye Institute to complete his fellowship in uveitis and inflammatory diseases, where he was supported by the VitreoRetinal Surgery Foundation and American Uveitis Society. He serves on the Young Uveitis Specialists Education Committee and is a family track mentor in the ASRS Empowerment and Opportunity Section. Ogul is a first-year vitreoretinal surgery fellow at Tennessee Retina in Nashville. |

Melissa Yuan, MDDr. Melissa Yuan grew up in Sharon, Massachusetts and graduated from Harvard University with high honors in neurobiology. She attended medical school at Weill Cornell, where she was awarded the Edward Norton Prize in Ophthalmology. Melissa completed her ophthalmology residency at Mass Eye and Ear / Harvard Ophthalmology, during which she was an active member in the American Society of Ophthalmic Trauma, the Women in Retina mentorship program, and Women in Ophthalmology. She is a second-year vitreoretinal surgery fellow at Stanford University / Byers Eye. |
