Complications Encountered During Retinal Surgery” will be led by expert guest speakers, Yoshihiro Yonekawa, MD, FASRS, Wills Eye Hospital, and Jayanth Sridhar, MD, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Moderators will be Ghassan R. Ghorayeb, MD, West Virginia University Eye Institute, and Sami H. Uwaydat, MD, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, with invited discussants, Fellow-in-Training (FIT) Co-chairs, Jordan D Deaner, MD, and Alexis Warren, MD.
This webinar will use short intraoperative videos submitted by ASRS members to illustrate the management of complications encountered during retinal surgery.
Dr. Yonekawa and Dr. Sridhar will share thoughts and experiences pertaining to the management of complications and offer advice to help prevent such issues from occurring in the future. The goal of this webinar is to educate our fellows and members on surgical complications they may or may not have previously encountered with the input and advice of experts in the field.
At the end of this webinar, learners will be able to implement practice changes based on "pearls" and take-away messages provided by the experts.
