Foundation Launches History of Retina

The Foundation of the American Society of Retina Specialists is pleased to be undertaking the creation of the definitive History of Retina. This ambitious project will include the development of a multifaceted website and traveling Annual Meeting museum featuring interviews with retina luminaries, a historical timeline, and gallery of historically significant retina images and artifacts.

Do you have historically significant images and/or artifacts that you feel would represent an important addition to the History of Retina. Examples include historically important retina texts, instruments, devices and other items that are of significance in telling retina’s story.

There are several ways to contribute:

  • DONATE historic images and/or artifacts (with descriptions) to the Foundation of the American Society of Retina Specialists for the History of Retina collection. The ASRS Foundation will cover shipping costs, donors will be acknowledged and the donation is tax deductible (*donor bears responsibility for valuation).
  • LEND historic images and/or artifacts (with descriptions) to be photographed and returned to you. The ASRS Foundation will cover shipping costs and the lender will be acknowledged.
  • SEND us a hi-res photo of your item(s) with description(s) for inclusion in the collection. The ASRS Foundation will cover shipping costs, if necessary, and the donor will be acknowledged.
