Biography
Erol Verter, M.D. is a Retina Specialist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, and the founder of Retina Specialists of Connecticut in Norwalk. He provides medical, laser, injection, and surgical treatments for a wide range of retinal conditions. His areas of expertise include diabetic retinopathy, dry and wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), epiretinal membranes, macular holes and puckers, retinal vascular disease, retinal tears and detachments, complications of prior eye surgery, and scleral-fixated intraocular lens (IOL) implantation.
Dr. Verter is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) and serves as a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Yale School of Medicine, where he teaches residents and fellows in both clinical and surgical settings.
