Biography

Dr. Ramaiya is an ophthalmologist specializing in retina care including medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment. He trained in eye surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine (and Barnes-Jewish Hospital) Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences in ophthalmology and undertook further subspecialty training at The Retina Institute (formerly the Barnes Retina Institute) in Vitreoretinal Surgery. He has presented research work at national meetings, authored peer-reviewed publications, review articles, and book chapters in the field of ophthalmology/vitreoretinal disease. He is an active Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Eye Associates of New Mexico where he sees patients and participates in clinical research trials.
