Biography
Dr. James David attended medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. After completing a residency at Wayne State University at Crittenton Hospital, he completed an ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal disease, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Dr. David has been with the Eye Surgery Center since 2022 and sees patients in our Metairie, Gretna, and Bogalusa offices. In his spare time, Dr. David enjoys running, spinning, kayaking, traveling, cooking, going to the symphony, and attending live music events.
