Biography
Dr. Rocio Diaz is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist, fluent in both English and Spanish. She was born and raised in Panama City, Panama, where she earned her medical degree and became the first physician in her family.
After completing a research fellowship, Dr. Diaz went on to finish her ophthalmology residency at the Hamilton Eye Institute in Memphis, TN, followed by a retina fellowship at the Truhlsen Eye Institute, University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She then gained valuable experience practicing in Medford, OR and Rapid City, SD before joining Texas Retina Associates in Wichita Falls, TX.
Dr. Diaz treats a wide range of retinal conditions, with special interest in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, vitreous floaters, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal tears, and retinal detachments.
