Biography
Basil K. Williams Jr., MD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He graduated from Yale University and then went on to attend The Chicago Medical School. Dr. Williams completed his ophthalmology residency, vitreoretinal surgery fellowship, and chief residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He then completed his ocular oncology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Williams conducts research in adult and pediatric ocular oncology including both surface and intraocular diseases. His additional interests include clinical and surgical outcomes in vitreoretinal diseases and health disparities.
