Biography
Dr. Hussein Almuhtaseb, is a distinguished Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Vitreoretinal Surgery. He achieved distinction as the first Jordanian doctor to apply for Spain's MIR Residency Exam where he ranked in the 3.25th percentile among 13,000 candidates, securing a residency in Ophthalmology at the Institut Català de la Retina and the Sagrat Cor University Hospital.
Following his residency, Dr. Almuhtaseb completed four prestigious fellowships in Medical and Surgical Retina at the University Hospital Southampton and the Manchester Royal Eye Infirmary in the UK. He then served as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Cataract and Vitreoretinal Surgery at North Manchester. In 2022, he established and led the Ophthalmology Department at The View Hospital in Doha, Qatar, a facility affiliated with Cedars-Sinai, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.
