Biography
Patrick A. Coady, M.D., MBA, is a graduate of Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dr. Coady has received numerous awards and honors including the Hampers/Payson MD/MBA scholarship for pursuing a dual degree while in medical school. He graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2002 and is a graduate of the Tuck School of Business. Dr. Coady completed his medical internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City and his ophthalmology residency at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California in 2014. Dr. Coady completed his vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Yale School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Coady practiced in Connecticut for 6 years at New England Retina Associates and also as an attending Ophthalmologist at the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, Connecticut where he was assistant clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine.
He currently practices at VRMNJ in Millburn, NJ as well as The Retina Clinic in Mine Hill, NJ. He sees patients as well in Tannersville, PA and Pallisades Park, NJ
Dr. Coady has participated in several volunteering projects including with Hospital de la Familia to deliver ophthalmologic care in Nuevo Progresso, San Marcos, Guatemala.
He has served as guest speaker for the Yale Eye Center Clinical Conference Series; California Pacific Medical Center, Department of Ophthalmology Grand Rounds; and Aravind Eye Care System Grand Rounds in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has published on numerous topics, including ischemic retinal diseases, diabetic macular edema, retinal imaging, remote visual monitoring and sickle cell retinopathy.
