Biography
Jonathan Noonan is an ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon. He was the Danny H.-Kauffmann Jokl, MD International Vitreoretinal Fellow at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from 2023-2024. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School. He obtained his PhD from the University of Melbourne studying retinal vascular imaging in diabetes, and has authored many peer-reviewed publications. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Vit-Buckle Society, and the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. Currently, he is working as a vitreoretinal surgeon at Associates in Ophthalmology in Pittsburgh and is involved in clinical trials and retina teaching. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children exploring Pittsburgh and the surrounding regions.
