CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDITS
The American Society of Retina Specialists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Society of Retina Specialists designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this meeting, participants should be able to:
- Address recent changes in the health care system that have disrupted staffing and financing.
- Consider implications for new technology and pharmaceutical advancements and review administrative strategies for improving patient outcomes.
- Navigate current insurance reimbursement and commercial and non-commercial compliance issues to implement best practices.
- Implement coding and documentation for Evaluation and Management codes, new retina drugs and delivery treatments, as well as other new or modified diagnosis codes.
- Identify the various types of Medicare audits and review how internal audit reports can be used to proactively identify and correct coding errors.
- Evaluate key pain points in clinical trial management in order to improve operational efficiencies.
- Develop LGBTQ+ inclusive policies in the workplace that will have a positive influence on patients, staff, and the overall culture of the practice.
