Take the ASRS PAT Survey

Taking the pulse of retina practices worldwide

Since 1999, the ASRS Preferences and Trends (PAT) Survey has measured our member retina specialists’ preferences on a wide range of medical, surgical, and socioeconomic topics.

New! 5 overseas retina societies participate in the 2013 PAT Survey

As part of ASRS's international outreach, we have opened the 2013 PAT Survey to members of 5 overseas retina societies:

  • Arab African Society of Retina Specialists
  • Brazilian Retina and Vitreous Society
  • British and Eire Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons
  • Pan-American Retina and Vitreous Society
  • The Vitreo-Retinal Society of India

ASRS represents retina specialists in the US and 55 countries. With 5 overseas retina societies now also participating in the PAT Survey, we will have even more-robust data showing how retina practice patterns vary around the world.

Tracking key trending data

In addition to providing a snapshot of retina specialists’ preferences, the annual PAT Survey collects longitudinal data allowing us to track significant trends in retina practice. The 2013 survey results will include trending data on how ASRS members' preferred treatment approaches have changed over the past 10 years.

PAT Survey Editor Thomas W. Stone, MD, will present the 2013 survey results at the ASRS 31st Annual Meeting in Toronto. A PAT Survey supplement—with complete 2013 survey results, trending data, and a roundtable discussion—will also be mailed as a supplement to the winter Retina Times.

We encourage you to participate in the 2013 PAT Survey.
