House Energy and Commerce Committee Holds MA Oversight Hearing; ASRS, Alliance Reiterate Support for Prior Authorization Reform
This week, the Oversight and Investigations subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee held a hearing, "Protecting America's Seniors: Oversight of Private Sector Medicare Advantage Plans" to investigate, among other things, Medicare Advantage (MA) plans’ use of prior authorization. Prior to the hearing, ASRS and the Alliance of Specialty Medicine sent a letter reiterating our support of bipartisan legislation to reform the prior authorization process in MA.
