HHS Issues Revised Notice of Reporting Requirements and Timeline for Recipients of Provider Relief Funds

On June 11, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released updated reporting guidelines for the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund (PRF). Superseding previous guidance, HHS is now requiring recipients to report on each disbursement of funds exceeding $10,000 and is setting separate reporting deadlines depending on the date the funds were disbursed.

If you received a PRF disbursement between April 10, 2020 and June 30, 2020, you have until June 30, 2021 to use the funds. The portal for reporting on the use of funds will open July 1, 2021 and recipients will have until September 30, 2021 to complete the report.

If you have not already registered in the reporting portal, HHS encourages you to do so prior to the beginning of the reporting period.

Additional information, including reporting deadlines for disbursements received after June 30, 2020 is available on the HHS website.
