ASRS 2026 Business of Retina Meeting Brings Together Retina Specialists, Practice Leaders for Record Attendance
While the Houston Rodeo was in full-swing outside the four walls of the conference hotel, attendees at the 2026 Business of Retina were roping and wrestling with the key practice challenges of the day. Retina specialists, practice leaders, industry innovators, and technology experts gathered for what was the most well attended program in the meeting’s history.
This year marked a major milestone with the launch of the first ever Clinical Trials Workshop, a groundbreaking addition that showcased the specialty’s accelerating momentum toward scalable, practice-based research. The new programming was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, reflecting a growing appetite to understand how AI, research and business strategies can empower practices to meaningfully engage in clinical discoveries. This years’ Fellows Seminar tripled in size, underscoring the ASRS’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of retina leaders.
These topics were seamlessly woven together with essential strategies for tackling prior authorization, meeting regulatory demands, optimizing coding excellence, and prioritizing physician wellness. The meeting made one message unmistakably clear: success in modern retina care requires a powerful fusion of clinical mastery, business strategy, technological innovation and personal wellness.
