Biography

Dr. Oellers specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the vitreous, macula and retina.

He is an accomplished clinician and scientist who published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and presented extensively at national and international meetings. He won numerous awards for his research and serves as a regular referee for scientific journals in the field of retina.

Dr. Oellers is Board Certified by the American Board Of Ophthalmology. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Vit-Buckle Society and Onondaga County Medical Society.

He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University where he helps to educate the new generation of ophthalmologists and serves at the Board of Aurora of Central New York, a local non-profit organization that promotes independence and opportunities for people of all ages with vision or hearing loss.

Dr. Oellers' goals are compassionate delivery of high quality and cutting edge medical care for all patients affected by diseases of the vitreous, macula and retina.
