Biography
Dr. Feisal Adatia is a Medical and Surgical Retina Specialist and Cataract Surgeon. He started practicing in Calgary in 2010 as an associate at the Calgary Retina Consultants and then in 2013 as a partner at the Mitchell Eye Centre before Co-Founding Clearview Eye Centre in 2023. He is accepting all Retina and Cataract referrals at Clearview Eye Centre. www.ClearviewEyeCentre.com
Before medicine, Dr. Adatia completed four degrees in just six years and received the University Gold Medal for achieving the highest undergraduate mark. He also completed a Masters in Diabetes research at the University of Toronto and the Banting and Best Diabetes Centre under Dr. Daniel Drucker and Dr. Patricia Brubaker.
He completed his Medical School at the University of Toronto, achieving an Honors standing ever year. He then completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto.
He did his first Retina Fellowship at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital where he was the sole Canadian accepted in his year. He then completed his second Retina Fellowship in Calgary before starting his practice.
Dr. Adatia has received 33 Awards, Grants or Scholarships including 8 first place research awards as primary author, co-author or supervisor. He has 38 publications in-press or submitted.
Dr. Adatia does approximately 700 Cataract Cases per year and 2-300 Retina surgeries per year.
His practice is primarily comprised of: Age Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Diabetic Macular Edema, Retinal Vein Occlusion as well as surgically, Epiretinal Membranes, Macular Holes and Cataract. Dr. Adatia does see all adult retinal conditions.
