Inadvertent Removal of Gore-Tex Suture During Implantation of the Akreos IOL: Technique to Re-Suture the IOL

This patient initially presented with a dislocated IOL.  The IOL was prolapsed into the anterior chamber from the vitreous cavity, cut, and then explanted through the corneal incision (not shown).  During the placement of the secondary Akreos AO IOL in a method previously described, the nasal Gore-Tex suture was inadvertenly removed.  Dr. Bansal demonstrates one technique to re-thread the eyelets of the Akreos AO IOL with Gore-Tex suture in the anterior chamber using a bent Max-Grip forceps to complete the case.
