Display and Distribution Policy

The American Society of Retina Specialists has retained the use of the Sheraton Centre Toronto to enable registered members, non-members, exhibitors, and guests to participate in the 31st Annual American Society of Retina Specialists Scientific Meeting educational and informational activities. The display or distribution of unapproved information or advertising in or on the location of the 31st Annual American Society of Retina Specialists Scientific Meeting areas, except within exhibition booths, is prohibited. Violation of this policy will result in confiscation and disposal of the material. Individuals who violate this policy may be evicted from the premises.

No-smoking Policy

It is the policy of the American Society of Retina Specialists to prohibit smoking in all meeting and exhibition areas. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Photography and Taping of Exhibits and Program Policy

Attendees wishing to photograph or videotape a technical exhibit must secure permission from the exhibiting company before doing so. The American Society of Retina Specialists holds copyright on scientific material presented at the meeting, after which time the copyright is returned to the author. Therefore, no portion of a scientific program may be photographed, audiotaped or videotaped without the express written consent of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS).

ASRS specifically disclaims any and all claims that may arise out of the use of any technique demonstrated or described in any material by any presenter and/or author, whether such claims are asserted by a physician or any other person.

The ASRS Preferences and Trends Survey Policies and Disclaimer

The Preferences and Trends (PAT) Survey report is provided for educational interest of registrants and guests of the 31st Annual American Society of Retina Specialists Scientific Meeting. The data reported represents the opinions and preferences of the survey respondents alone, and may not represent the complete or collective opinion of the membership, nor does it necessarily represent the opinion of the American Society of Retina Specialists.

All data collected is retrospective opinion data and is not based on any accurate records reviewed by the respondents. No implication of any correct or incorrect response is implied by the survey. Further, the survey does not seek to establish any clinical standard of care. Photography and videotaping of material displayed as part of the PAT Survey is expressly forbidden without the written consent of the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Commercial supporters that would like to obtain PAT Survey data should submit a written request to Jill Blim, Executive Vice President of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Members who wish to quote or reference any data or comments displayed in the PAT Survey may request reference information and permission from the American Society of Retina Specialists.
