Description
The Program includes theory sessions by experts on:
- Current macular oedema treatment
- Intraocular injections and implants
- AMD and diabetic retinopathy current treatment
- Current reports in pharmacological vitreolysis with ocriplasmine
- Vein occlusions
- Diagnosis and treatment of eye tumors
- Macular traction syndromes
- Current teaching concepts in post-graduate studies in ophthalmology (E.S.A.S.O. Course)
- OCT & fluoroangiography courses
Surgical wet lab session, step-by-step, how to start 25g-23g vitrectomy:
- Fluidics and observation systems
- Lensectomy
- Primary retina detachment
- Trauma surgery – foreign body removal
- Vitrectomy for simple hemorrhages
- ILM removal in artificial eyes
- Heavy liquid injection techniques
Minimum wet lab training is 12 hours for each trainee. One instructor per 2 trainees.
