DESCRIPTION:This educational activity is designed to complement the vitreor
 etinal fellowship curriculum. Much of the didactic session will focus on t
 he business of vitreoretinal medicine\, covering topics such as risk manag
 ement\, clinical documentation and coding\, and the management of high-cos
 t medical inventory. Surgical training is at the heart of the vitreoretina
 l fellowship\; and this activity will broaden attendees’ surgical knowledg
 e bases by providing exposure to alternative techniques and surgical metho
 ds transferred from a renowned expert faculty to attendees in a multi-hour
  wet lab setting. The wet lab will be a hands-on\, interactive session tha
 t dovetails with the vitreoretinal fellowship curriculum. \nFurthermore\, 
 the AVTT symposium is intended to provide the vitreoretinal specialist wit
 h an update on the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal diseases. Emp
 hasis will be placed on conditions that have seen recent new developments.
  Didactic lectures and video presentations will be given\, and cases will 
 be discussed. \nDAY 1: AUGUST 21\, 2020 Open Only to VR Fellows\, Medical 
 Retina Fellows and Ophthalmology Residents \nA special opening day program
  features a half-day hands-on\, interactive wet lab and a half-day didacti
 c session designed for Medical Retina Fellows\, VR fellows (in their final
  year of training) and ophthalmology residents only.\nDAYS 2 & 3: AUGUST 2
 2-23\, 2020 Open to General Ophthalmologists\, Practicing Retina Specialis
 ts\, VR Fellows\, Medical Retina Fellows and Ophthalmology Residents. \nTh
 is program will provide updates on diagnosis and management of VR diseases
  with emphasis on new developments. Didactic lectures and video presentati
