DESCRIPTION:Detroit 2020: Motor City Retina will allow physicians and surge
 ons from around the world to witness the future of retina and the renaissa
 nce of Detroit. This meeting celebrates 50 years of vitreoretinal advances
  and service Associated Retinal Consultants have provided to the state of 
 Michigan\, the United States\, and the world.\nWorld-class faculty will pr
 esent\, discuss\, and debate current and future surgical and medical conce
 pts and techniques. Topic highlights include the recent revolution in macu
 lar hole surgery\, dislocated IOLs\, AntiVEGF choices in 2020 and 3D vitre
 oretinal surgery. The evolution of pediatric vitreoretinal surgery through
  the work of ARC faculty and prior fellows will set guidelines for future 
 clinical progress. Regenerative medicine discussions including those about
  gene therapy\, stem cell research\, and retinal transplantation will pave
  the way to a brighter future for retina.  Medical and surgical innovation
 s will be highlighted alongside those of the Motor City itself\, with a ni
 ght at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation to explore a part of A
 merican history unlike any other and driving thrills at the M1 concourse.
