DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual Duke Fellows’ Advanced Vitreous Surgery (fAVS) w
 ill showcase cutting-edge vitreoretinal surgical techniques\, therapeutic 
 pharmacologic treatment strategies\, and advanced ophthalmic imaging - all
  geared towards North American and International rising 2nd year Surgical 
 and Medical Retina and Uveitis fellows. \nThe program\, derived from the b
 roader Duke Advanced Vitreous Surgery (AVS) course\, is designed to delive
 r informative\, cutting-edge talks\, superior surgical video-based interac
 tions\, and a spirit of collegiality to engage faculty and fellows with ea
 ch other. \nThe fAVS course will have fellow-specific surgical wet labs\, 
 fellow-directed case and surgical videos\, and a section covering topics t
 hat every fellow needs to know as they make the transition from first year
  to their second year of fellowship. Medical retina and uveitis fellows wi
 ll benefit from advanced concepts in retinal imaging and drug pharmacother
 apy. We will also focus on practical advice on job searches and contract n
 egotiations.\nFree registration\, travel stipend\, and lodging is availabl
 e to fellows that have not attended fAVS before. Fellows that have previou
