DESCRIPTION:This two-day symposium is intended to provide ophthalmologists 
 with an update on the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal diseases. 
 Emphasis will be placed on conditions that have seen recent new developmen
 ts. Didactic lectures and video presentations will be given\, and cases wi
 ll be discussed. Controversial issues will be discussed in a debate settin
 g and in panels.\nA special opening day program features a half-day hands-
 on\, interactive wet lab and a half-day didactic session. Much of the dida
 ctic session on the first day will focus on the best practices of vitreore
 tinal medicine\, covering topics such as risk management\, clinical docume
 ntation and coding\, and getting involved in clinical trials. Day one is n
