Aloha!

Dear Colleague:

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I invite you to join us for the 26th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Retina Specialists to be held October 11–15, 2008 on the beautiful island of Maui at the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa. The Grand Wailea Resort, one of Hawaii’s premier resorts, is the perfect destination for what will be a fabulous meeting. Situated on 40 meticulously landscaped acres, the resort opens onto Maui's beautiful Wailea Beach, voted one of the best beaches in America. It offers an array of Hawaiian activities: indulge in Spa Grande, spend a day at the pools, or make plans for golf, tennis, snorkeling or visiting the many beautiful sites of Maui.

Our goal is to provide the best possible combination of resources for retina specialists interested in "one stop shopping" when they take time away from their busy practices. ASRS meetings are known, not only for the great venues and abundant opportunities for collegial interactions, but also for providing the most and latest clinically relevant information for members and guests.

Popular features will include: scientific papers with expanded question and answer sessions, scientific posters with lively author interaction, panel discussions on controversial issues and techniques, a fluorescein angiography and surgical case conference, award lectures, Breakfast with the Masters, and the annual film festival are just some of the elements of the fast-paced program. In addition, technical exhibits and representatives from the world's highest impact companies in our field will be incorporated into the meeting with innovative emphasis, in order to offer participants complete access to the latest products and specialized expertise.

The 26th Annual ASRS Meeting promises to be a spectacular event in a breathtaking location that you won’t want to miss!
