ASRS Super Committees
ASRS committees are organized into 5 broad Super Committees (SC). Each SC is chaired by an executive committee member who serves as the liaison between its respective committees, the Executive Committee, and the ASRS executive vice president.
Chair: Mark S. Humayun, MD, PhD
Component Committees: Credentials Committee, Bylaws Committee, Nominations Committee, Site Selection Committee, WinR, and Young Physicians
Role: Work to ensure that all member segments are represented appropriately by the ASRS and find value in the society.
Chair: Tarek S. Hassan, MD
Component Committees: Program Committee, Accreditation and Certification Committee, Retina Image Bank, and Strategic Planning
Role: The Operations Committee coordinates the daily functions of ASRS and the long-range strategic plan to assure that ASRS accomplishes its short- and long-term goals.
Chair: Carl C. Awh, MD
Component Committees: Awards Committee, CME and Accreditation Committee, Communications Committee, Research & Therapeutics Committee, PAT Survey Committee, Practice Management Committee, Retina Times, Website Committee
Role: Ensure that ASRS encourages innovation; provides education for retina specialists, the public, and for organized medicine; and sets and maintains the standards for retina specialty.

Component Committees: Corporate Relations Committee and Investment Committee
Role: Oversees all financial aspects of the society.

Role: Coordinates the ASRS message to public audiences and other medical organizations to ensure it is consistent with ASRS policies.
